TODAY'S SCRIPTURE VERSE: To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: Ecclesiastes 3:1

PURPOSE

Listen to the wisdom of Solomon as he ties time and purpose together, and this we seem able to do in our lives as well. The part we have trouble with at times is finding the real purpose of our lives! The word purpose is defined as "the object for which something exists, or is done". Mankind will never know true joy and peace until our reason for existence not only has been found, but embraced with all our heart, soul, and might. Solomon's words indicate that everything is created for a purpose, with a time and season allotted to fulfill that purpose. We have an allotted time that only God knows, that we are to use day by day to seek and walk in God's purpose for our lives. The purpose of God for our lives is revealed in the life of Christ. The word purpose that is used in reference to God's purpose in the epistles of Paul means "a setting forth" as the shew bread was set forth before God. This "purpose" is God's will set forth by Christ, who hath died leaving us an example that we should walk in His foot steps!
